Pool Rules (Revised May 2008)

1. All members and guests must sign-in in when entering the pool area. All members will be greeted at the pool entrance.
2. A guest pass ticket or a $5.00 per guest fee is required for a Member to bring a guest. Guest pass tickets may be purchased in groups of 5 for $20.00 at $4.00 each or 10 for $30.00 at $3.00 each. Guest pass tickets expire on the last day the pool is open.
3. Guests: To be considered a guest, one shall be invited and escorted by a club member. A qualified member between the ages of 12 and 18 will be permitted to accompany only one guest per visit. Members are required to provide a guest pass or pay a $5.00 guest fee for each visitor. Each guest is limited to a maximum of ten visits per season. No member may sign in more than 6 guests unless previous arrangements have been made.
4. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a 14-year old or older.
5. Rules governing baby-sitters are as follows:
   • Sign in with member or bring a letter.
   • Be 14 years or older and be with a child under 12 (not accompanied by a parent) to waive the $5.00 guest fee.
   • Be the only sitter for any one child.

1. No glass containers permitted inside pool area. No food or beverage is allowed in the pool.
2. Do not get in the water with open cuts.
3. It is mandatory for children who are not potty trained to wear swim pants when in the pool.
4. Children under three cannot be in the pool without an adult.
5. Swimming equipment (floats, balls, snorkels, fins, etc.) must be approved by the lifeguard.
6. Only one person on the diving board and ladders at a time.
7. Persons under the age of eighteen (18) are prohibited from smoking on Holly Springs Club Property. The Pool area will be smoke-free except for designated smoking areas.
8. Appropriate swimming apparel only. No cut-offs, street clothes or other garments not intended for swim wear.
9. Every quarter to the hour lifeguards will take a 15 minute break. Only adults 18 years & older and infants under 3 accompanied by and adult will be allowed to swim at their own risk. During lifeguard breaks, children under 18 must maintain a distance of not less than 3 feet from the pool's edge.
10. The on-duty life guard is required to be seated in the lifeguard stand. He/she cannot be distracted and is complete charge of bathers in and around the pool.
11. All members and guests are expected to clean up after themselves and maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
12. Conduct unbecoming (e.g. running, pushing, roughhousing, bad language or un-manageable behavior) will result in expulsion from the pool. The lifeguard shall have the authority to expel anyone at any time for misbehavior.

    • 2nd offense............One Week
    • 3rd offense.............Suspended until Holly Springs Board meets
